direction given by SHRI BHADRESH RAWAL, Director, Prayas. Accordingly Regional
Office has been proposed at Nagarbera under Kamrup District, Assam, India.
Presently, the organization engaged in Kamrup, Goalpara, Barpeta, Sibsagar
district.

Prayas -Organization for Sustainable Development under aegis for Asian Developmet Bank ( ADB) has taken a sub-project under COMMUNITY- BASED FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT ( CBFRM) AND LIVELIHOODS in Palasbari ( Kamrup District). In Palasbari sub- project site the selection of 3 villages has been done as per surveyed by AIFRERM Project Preparatory Technical Assistance ( PPTA) and agreed between the ADB Team and the Prayas organization. The villages has been selected as per following criteria as marked such as 1) High flood prone zone 2) High poverty incidence 3) Villages with high influx of migrants vs. low influx of migrants 4)Geographical representation of the sub-project site 5) Accessibility. Accordingly, in Palasbari sub- project site the villages has been selected are Choudhuri Pam, No. 1 Rampur, Jamlai.
The aim of the project is to enhance sustainable and inclusive economic growth in flood prone areas along the Brahmaputra River in Assam state.
